I think that Patch meant to say on a LHD vehicle "Start with the RHS FRONT,
then LHS FRONT then RHS REAR and finish with the LHS REAR" which is the one
nearest the master cylinder.

The names onside and offside can be confusing, particularly with English
as a second language and it is also easy to fall into the traditional habit
of thinking
that the front wheels are the closest where on an 80", the pipework and
location
of the master cylinder actually makes the rear axle and wheel cylinders
closer.

In terms of bleeding, I have had success with pressure bleeding by just
pressurising the system using the nozzel from my air compressor hose pressed
against the breather hole in the current cap. (Only one wheel at a time
before I check the fluid level, it can pump out quite a lot of fluid if you
are not careful.)

Cheers
Diana

Hi Coen
Start with the nearside rear then offside rear then front nearside and
finish with the the front offside which is the
one nearest to the brake master cylinder. Always start with the cylinder
which is furtherest away from the master
Make sure you have the master cylinder pushrod adjusted right

Advise on brake bleeding a 1952 80 inch land Rover needed.

Last week I did replace the master brake-cylinder and a few brake pipes.
Now I need to bleed the brakes.
So I have two questions:

1 What is the proper order to bleed the brakes?
- With what wheel should I start, what is the following one etc.?

You advise is highly welcome!
