No, both are for one diff, as shown in the Workshop manual SI 1948 - 1958.
They ere required for the later versions, ratio 1 : 4,7. Sorry for the not
very precise definition, I am currently at work and have none of the
information with me.
Land Rover has produced a variety of gauges to adjust crown wheel and
pinion. The ones I have made are the ones shown in this manual, the main
dimensions are given. The diameter for the bar is the outer diameter of the
outer bearing race.

Basically you adjust the pinion height so that the gauge 38,10 fits but the
38,15 does not. Beware the changes in bearing preload that can occur. Some
simple maths is required to get it all right.

Before starting I had luckily organised sufficient shims to reposition the
pinion and adjust the bearing preload. Yesterday I have changed the bearings
on one of the diff pinions and had to add 0.028" in shims to get the correct
preload. If time allows I will complete it these coming days.

Ulrico,
Are the two height blocks in your drawing for the two different ratio diffs
mentioned in the workshop manual. i.e. one block for the 4.88:1 ratio diff
and the ther for the 4.7:1 diffs?
Cheers Charlie
