    For goodness sake Charlie,
    How many times do we have to say it? BUY A BLOODY WORKSHOP MANUAL 
(TP/138) AND 80" PARTS BOOK (TP111G). The oft quoted 1948 to 1958  
Series One manual will also be useful. These two documents will answer 
95% of your questions (even the dimensions for the pinion setting tool 
are there). If you are worried about 4.88:1 diffs, you must have a very 
early vehicle. (prior to vehicle number 861320).
