Graeme,
Many thanks for that I would be very grateful for any information, I found
an e-mail for BBC outside brodacasting (ob@xxx.xx.xx) and asked the same
question, not sure I'll get a response but you never know. I will also try
and get an apeal in the next legend.
Would be interested to know how the S2's were configured and what they were
used for, may well have been similar.
UYL ws with the BBC along with yourself, probably relegated to "back-up"
though, also could have been virtually anywhere by then.
When previous owner acquired it in 1978 it still had wiring for the
"equipment rack" which he removed and was missing the seat and tropical
roof.
He has fitted a seat from a car not sure which one that is still there. He
also plugged some but not all of the holes in the roof.
If you ever get across the penines and want to take a look, its currently
parked up at my sisters near Warington.
Only came across it as she was asking around for an S1 solex for me, one of
her neighbors knew about this old landrover "round the corner" so she went
to look.
To cut a long story short he was willing to part with it provided it would
get restored not broken for parts, so I ended up coming to an agreement on
price, all I have to do is work out how to get it to Texas!
Rgds
Simon
