Hi
I'm a new member to this mailing-list. I've just bought my
first series vehicle ever, and it's a 1957MY 107" station
wagon LHD. Previously I have owned two Defenders and two
Discoverys. I live in Lillehammer in Norway, and has only
a couple of years left before I'm forthy.
My vehicle is in good unrestored original condition. It
looks to me that it's only the exterior paint and the
drivers seat trim that is not original.
The outside mirrors is probably not original from
Sollihull either, but I think they were mounted on all new
vehicles in Norway before they were sold. Therefore I
consider them as original, or at least correct period
accessoir.
Some pictures have recently been uploaded to "the series
one garage" at msn.
My initial plans for the vehicle is to keep it as an
ongoing rolling restoration project. First of all a lot of
TLC to keep it running.
One question:
A local tech-college are villing to make a roof-rack for
my 107" station wagon. I want to make a replica of an
original, but I'm unable to find one. Does it exist? If it
does, I'd be grateful for some pictures etc.!
Otherwise I consider making a replica of a roof-rack I
have seen on severeal series II. Picture on this link:

By the way a site with fire-vehicles only, and a lot of
pictures and nice vehicles! :-)
