Servus Stig! Congratulations for a rather rare vehicle - I have the
same, a year younger, and also rather original, except it has been
repainted several times (it was RAF blue originally). I should have kept
it running, and restored it that way, but took it apart some years ago
and that's how it still is.

The roof rack looks very much like the one I had on mine, and it was
probably added during its time with the fire brigade. So the roof rack
might have been made by Rosenbauer, a big outfitter of fire brigade
vehicles, and maybe they still have the drawings. However, I have to
warn you - it adds at least 20 centimeters to the height of the vehicle,
which makes parking in a garage even less feasible!

Good luck with your search

I'm a new member to this mailing-list. I've just bought my
first series vehicle ever, and it's a 1957MY 107" station
wagon LHD. Previously I have owned two Defenders and two
Discoverys. I live in Lillehammer in Norway, and has only
a couple of years left before I'm forthy.
...

Some pictures have recently been uploaded to "the series
one garage" at msn.

...
One question:
A local tech-college are villing to make a roof-rack for
my 107" station wagon. I want to make a replica of an
original, but I'm unable to find one. Does it exist? If it
does, I'd be grateful for some pictures etc.!
Otherwise I consider making a replica of a roof-rack I
have seen on severeal series II. Picture on this link:

By the way a site with fire-vehicles only, and a lot of
pictures and nice vehicles! :-)
