Welcome to the group. I too have been thinking about roofracks for both my 
swb & lwb S/W's. The design that I'm leaning towards is probably the most 
famous type used on a S1, which would be the ones fitted to the two "First 
Overland" S1's. It would mean modifying the short one to fit the lwb. One of 
the aspects I liked about this design is that it is fairly 'low profile' in 
height, wouldn't want to upset the 'aerodynamics' anymore than you have too.
