Hi George,
you are right about the location of the spigot - I suppose the leak is being
blown over the park plug leads/bores by the rad fan?

I don't have a heater to look at, but if memory serves isn't the garden
spigot usually in plane with the water pump or thereabouts? At that
location I shouldn't think that water could get to the spark leads.
Perhaps some relocation is warranted, in addition to tape or whatever.
