Hi Wren

Just to add to the comments, I had an overdrive on a Diesel Series III 
and now I am about to put one on my 1956, 86"

A definate recommendation for overdrives, just take a little of the 
strain off the engine while cruising. As an overdrive is only really 
designed for that purpose?

(Light blue touch paper and retire?)

Good luck in the search, I paid £250 for mine and will let you know how 
it goes when I get 5 mins to fit it!!
