    G'Day Rob,
Cricket is a sport, played throughout the civilised world. Currently
there is a test match series going on between New Zealand and Australia.
The game that Shane refers to is the second test in Adelaide. A cricket
test match lasts for five days and there are no pom-pom girls etc.
unlike American football, which just seems to last for five days.
I will leave an explanation of the rules and terminology to somebody
else. At stumps yesterday (end of day three), the Austrlians were 0 for
57 in their second innings. Play on day four is due tio get underway in
less than an hour.
Glad to be of some assistance
    Allan
