I know nothing much about 80" windscreens, but I do know a way of applying
intense heat very precisely! In the UK you can buy a 'Turboflame'
cigarette lighter that is in effect a small butane powered blowtorch with a
very hot and fine flame - excellent for applications like heating a small
nut or bolt or soldering in a confined space. I'm sure somehting similar
must be available in other parts of the world.
