Mount two tires on the rims each way, then mount to vehicle
for on-road use so that the tires leave an imprint such as
<< >>
Front << >> Rear
This assumes rear wheel drive with rear tires in a self cleaning
mode, and the front tires balanced opposite for even tire wear
and reduced road noise.
For off-road 4-wheel drive mode, all tires are in cleaning
mode. Just reverse the front tires left to right.

Front >> >> Rear
As to spare tires, carry two ;-)
