Wayne,
Thanks for coming back to me: glad to hear that I'm not alone!!
Dunsfold have been helpful in the past as has Stafford Dovey: above all
the parts and workshop manual have been a great help. I have also built
up a collection of magazine articles which have been a boon. I'm glad to
say that so far all the S1 owners I have encountered have been a
thoroughly decent bunch I have learned from some of them, to my surprise
others have learned from me!!
I have been lucky in that I was raised alongside all sorts of
agricultural machines and can draw on the expertise of a mechanically
astute father and uncle - always useful to have spare pairs of hands
around. The mechanical simplicity of LRs didn't stop me doing a double
take when I first refitted the wheels and swivel housings to the front
axle - I hate to admit it but the camber was a little
excessive.....easily rectified though!
