Sorry this sounds awfully pedantic but may help with this discussion.

As only the later 80" chassis is listed this suggests that the first front
winches were fitted to vehicles later than 1950 (non fishplate chassis).
This is supported by the fact that the 1949 Parts book (copy updated to mid
1950 ish) does not list a front capstan winch at all.

The later parts lists show that the factory was supplying both the tubes and
some chassis with the tubes installed up to 1955.

In Section III of the 80" Parts book (1953 version) under FRONT CAPSTAN
WINCH are listed: 
RHD and LHD Chassis with tubes "CHASSIS FRAME ASSEMBLY" 219794 RHD and
219795 LHD. The note reads "Standard chassis frames (check vehicle number
for type required) converted by adding distance tubes Part No 219743 to
cross-member No 2. 
Tubes for cross-member No 2 are listed separately as 219743. 
Also "Front bumper complete" 219796. The note for the bumper reads "Standard
front bumper converted by drilling additional holes)

Also the Parts book 4107 (TP115/E 1956) lists RHD and LHD Chassis with tubes
fitted for 1954-55 models as 239861 and 239862.
It also lists the tubes separately "Tubes for cross member No 2" 219743
Plus "Front bumper complete" 219796 with the note "Standard front bumper
converted by drilling additional holes".
