I have looked into the making of a rear door and as Martin says it is
quite possible and simple with the cutting and welding and
re-galvanising of old door tops.  My real input here is to add to
Anthony's idea of making a new Alpine light from Perspex and to point
out that actually that would be correct as they were originally
perspex.  Also to say that someone ought to save the top because the
tropical tops are quite hard to find, particularly undamaged if it is.
