Take your current hard top off it's less than a dozen bolts. Keep the =
brackets and bolts in the vehicle and get some clear plastic sheeting =
and duct tape. Leave the door tops on and drive down topless, just =
imagine your in the Southern Hemisphere where it's Spring and 30 degree =
Celsius instead of Northern Hemisphere Autumn 30 degree Fahrenheit. =20
When you get there put the top on and bolt it into place. Use the =
plastic sheeting to cover up the missing tailgate top and alpine window. =
Then drive back home.
You'll do much less damage to both tops if you do it that way.

Hi Gang,
Well, I've bought the Station Wagon Hardtop and will be collecting it =
next week, so many thanks to Ian for bringing it to light and also to =
Tom, Simon, Nick and Martin for their useful advice & info, all of which =
I've printed off for future reference.
Not sure how best to collect it, wondered about going in the Series 1 =
and tying the roof section onto my existing (ordinary) hardtop, with the =
side panels inside the Landie. It's a 180 mile round trip so not sure =
which is worse, a mate's Transit without a heater or a Series 1 with !! =
Maybe I can come up with something better in the meantime.
Regards to all,
Anthony
