I think it is a wonderfull car. I drove one a while back and had one
major issue. It has a "Throttle control unit" fitted which adjust the
throttle response depending on speed and hi/low range driving. This
unit was not functioning properly on the one I drove and tends to jerk
at low speeds in hi range. Jerks quite badly when pulling off and going
round corners. But I'll still buy it anyway!
I currently own a 1991 110" SW 3.5 V8 and I love her to pieces. But she
is quite thirsty and the TD5 will definately save you on fuel. I
believe the TD5 gives around 9 km/l on open tarmac.

Subject: SER1 Td5 Question
I know this isn't a Series One topic, but I was wondering if anyone on
the list has experience with the Td5 in a 110SW? I'm considering buying
one and want to know the pro's and con's to the engine. I'm sure
someone here has an opinion. Things I'm curious about are fuel economy,
power, road speed, engine noise inside the cab and that sort of thing.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
