Hi Jeremy:
Are you still looking for a pto cordwood saw? I heard from Carl =
Bertsen, the guy who has my old one, and he's apparently willing to sell =
the saw now. The saw is near Peterborough NH which is not too far from =
Petersham, MA (hint, hint).

I have my bulkhead down to bare metal after being sand blasted and I =
was=20
planning on having it painted by a local shop. However, after =
bringing it=20
to them the lady behind the calculator had a frenzied exchange with =
the=20
buttons and ended up telling me it would cost $1000 USD just to paint =
the=20
bulk head and $600 for the remaining steel pieces (only 5 as you =
know). =20
that is before even touching the body pannels.
My question is: what the heck can I do now? Can I paint this myself? =
do I=20
need to use etching primer? Have the paint fumes gotten to this bunch =
and=20
they are way off?
I want to go for the original bronze-green but I am having a terrible =
time=20
finding anyone who has any idea what the paint codes mean here in =
southern=20
california.
Maybe I should just have the bulk head powder coated black?
Would be a shame as it is a great little 55 86" with all the matching=20
numbers.
Basically I need advice from an old Landy expert as this is my first =
rover=20
and the oldest car I have delt with.
I have a bunch of bare metal parts in my garage waiting for me to get =
a=20
clue.
thanks,
Ian
