No one seems to have noticed... but in the latest Legend on page 13 is a
short article that the club are about to organise production of 80" and
107/109" galvanised chassis because no one else does them.

What you have to do is contact Peter Hughes, Technical Officer so they can
gauge the level of interest and also borrow a 107 and 109 chassis so they
can measure up for the jig.
C'mon...get your orders in!

What I want to know is if I order a 109 chassis to convert my 107 (thinking
one day of installing a Land Rover 2.5 diesel and avoiding the issue of the
damper hitting the front axle), will I just essentially need the longer
88/109 front wings and bonnet and maybe a new front propshaft?
Cheers
Martin

Hi fonts of knowledge post 1953.

Can anyone tell me whether the chassis brackets for the engine mounts of a
'57 SWB are in the same location relative to the gearbox as the chassis
brackets of a Series 2 / 2a 2283cc Land Rover.

I guess the same question could also be asked: "can you fit a 2283cc Series
2 /2a engine with standard engine mounts straight onto the chassis brackets
in a '57 SWB without having to alter either the chassis brackets or the
engine mounts?

Cheers
Diana :-)))

P.S. It's not an 80" bit of knowledge so why would I know!!!
