Having done it, yes, you can fit a 2-1/4 litre engine into a '57 Ser I
without modification of the nounts. Remember, the 2-litre diesel, which
uses essentially the same block as the 2-1/4 litre petrol, was available
in the late Ser. I's. There is an issue with the lower radiator hose,
however.
