Agreed, Lyndon. I bought this little truck precisely because it's =
practically a road legal mule. Roughly same size and weight as a mule, =
but much, much cheaper, better 4x4 capabilities and, well, looks a =
little like a miniature series 1! =20

Suzuki owners have even gone one step further and actually petitioned =
Suzuki to bring this type of vehicle back to the market:

  Wayne,
In Northern Ireland there's no need to deliberately introduce muddy
patches on the roads -farmers and contractors do that for free! Oh, =
and
the Roads Service are very good about neglecting to repair pot-holed
stretches of road - in places you could 'almost' do a bit of rock
  crawling!

Speaking of re-manufacturing Series 1s, I can't help but feel that
concept of the original 80" is embodied in the 'side by side' ATVs - I
think one of them is the Kawasaki Mule: Suzuki and John Deere also =
make
them. I think Landrover have missed an opportunity to show off their
heritage and current technology in the form of one of these ATVs - =
they
could even be made to the original 80" wheel base!
