Nice little 'zuki Peter!
Perhaps we should be petitioning Land Rover and their parent company to
re-introduce a basic model in the tradition of the Series 1 - you know
the type, open to the elements, easy to work on, loads of character....
Very few Suzukis as early as yours have survived over here: there are
plenty of SJ410s, 413s etc but even models from the 1980s and later are
steadily succumbing to our climate and the salt they put on the roads
during winter. I have seen a few Suzukis that looked as if it was just
the paint holding them together: hooray for aluminium!!
I guy I know has a hardtop SJ410and after two years ownership realised
it has almost the same dimensions as his 80": it was only when the two
vehicles were parked alongside each other that the similarities dawned
on him.
Happy motoring!
