Ah, but if they had the same gearbox, how come there is not a  flap on the transmission tunnel so that you can fill them in the same way as a Series One?




Early series II's had the 2.0 engine, so had the same gearbox as the 
series I's....

(it's also the same bolt-pattern as the 2.6, if you're remotely 
interested...)
