Maybe 1958 ??? but as his description said 1948/49 by 1959 they were
definitely Series 2 in which model there were plenty of 109" Station Wagons.
In the description, the vendor plays on the history, the rarity and age of
the vehicle even suggesting "film work" by removing his bodgy flasher
wiring, (which if he knew his stuff was actually available on NADA spec
vehicles built at the time of the vehicles production).

There are some very unscrupulous vendors out there. There is a bloke
locally here who was sold one of the very early 1948 80" (in the first 1500)
with the early fabricated bulkhead for a price commensurate with a vehicle
of that age. It turns out it is all a 1953 model with only an early
bulkhead bodgied in.

So all said, Jeremy is right when he suggests "Caveat Emptor on this one."

Cheers
Diana

Yea, we are a picky group, aren't we? We seemed to have covered the
flaws pretty quickly. On the upside though, it's nice to see several
good pics of a running example. They are so few of these around that
it's fun to see what else is still out there rolling around, take
inventory of what they've got, and see how it stacks up to yours. He
has to have meant a '58.

Cheers,

Randy
