  Diana,

Most of the sideplates that I have had in the past have either been =
from a 1948 rover car, or had the number ground off. I do however have =
one in my 1948 landie, this is the original and is numbered similar to =
the chassis, which is R860786. Out of interest what value does a =
sideplate hold?? I have heard various prices mentioned in the past, does =
the value get higher as the number gets lower? and just supposing a pre =
pro sideplate engine in running condition should happen to be found, =
with documented evidence from the factory that it is correct and =
original, not a later engine with a new number stamped in, what value =
would this have??

  Interested to hear peoples views.=20

    Hi Gals and Guys

Can anyone tell me at what engine number did the side plate 1.6 =
litre engine become the welsh plug 1.6 engine?

    Cheers
