As  usual Tom T. is I think correct.  The Solihull badge came in with the
Series 2.  I have checked two 1951 models, both I am sure original and the
result is interesting.  1610 1720 registered early Feb. 1951 has both cast
badges, and 1610 2724 registered  9th. March 1951 has both stamped.  That
narrows it down a bit.  I would agree with Tom that they were unlikely to have
mixed them.
