If the noise is coming from the dimple try putting a big screwdriver or=20
other metal shaft on the outside of the dimple and put the other end of the=
=20
shaft in your ear. If the noise is louder there than anywhere else on the=20
housing then it's a good chance that, that is where the noise is coming=20
from. and try it on other parts of the axle. You could also work out the=20
gearing and count how many clicks you get in one rotation of the wheels=20
this should also give you a clue as to where the noise is coming from.

I have a noise, when turning the wheels. It=B4s a light metalic
clickclickclick which sounds like a missing roll in a bearing, but
everything is okay or new. Is that only why there is no oil in the
diff/axle and that could be the clickclick from turning with the dry
halfshafts the dry 3 gearwheels in the diff ?

I have also a small but ca. 3 mm deep dimple in the back of the diff

scratches against the innerside and make that noise ? How much
space/distance is between the large planetary wheel and the housingwall ?
