Hi Peter,
Pretty much sums up what I did and now it works. Funny thing is that I
don't remember anything being rusted or obviously 'frozen', which is why I
was thinking about broken springs inside the disconnect assembly. From a
professional standpoint I'm of the opinion that a positive design (nothing
spring-driven) is better in 'mission critical' environments -- one of the
few places I'd give the nod to the Jeep CJ2/3 Dana 18.
