Or just wait until tomorrow, it will be a balmy 35F.
It was minus 27 C ( -16 F) this morning at my place, Just for shit and
giggles I pushed the starter button on my 80" . It said "wot??" and that was
it. I am waiting "til tomorrow.

There are a few things one can do as well as check the thermostat.

Assuming the rest of the cooling system is ok, back flush the heater core
with a garden hose if there is good water pressure. You will be amazed at
the rust and gunge that this will clear out.

Fit a water temp gauge and a rad muff.
