My father always uses CO2 for shrink fitting, I don't think he uses it on
his nuts though!

Just think Bondi Beach - it's only 19 degree Celsius (66 F) at the moment
(08:45 hrs) but heading for a high of 27 degree Celsius (81 F) but it's
quite humid. And after all "it's the humidity that gets you".

Sorry I don't know who has the Series 1 List Transporter at the moment.
(Beam me up Scotty, there's no intelligent life down here!)

About the Smith's heater, check out George's thermostat idea - he's the
expert. However I have a Smith's round heater that came out of a Holden car
(Australian GM product) that seems much thicker (10cm coil) than the regular
LR unit. It seems a waste to use it in a LR in the Australian climate,
particularly when it's the wrong style for my 80". If it is useful to you
we could come to some arrangement re postage etc.

Regards

Diana

any suggestions how to get a bit of heat out of my old smiths heater.
basically it just seems to stir the air around and after about 20 miles it
gets to its max (slightly off freezing)

Its about minus 6 at the moment outside
