Diana,
I agree with Nick, I tried many alternative caps, and to keep that 
model distributor it's the original dome shape is the only model that 
fits. The base is larger in diameter and the notches that align it are 
a unique configuration.  Phil Avery in NZ helped me source a spare, but 
they are either used or NOS.  Nothing is currently made for them that I 
am aware of.
