Diana,

Which distributor do you have?

Is it the original type – physically large with the vacuum advance connected
by a screwed copper nipple on the hexagonal end of the mechanism and a
calibrated advance/retard knob or is it the later replacement type –
physically smaller (as fitted to many 60’s cars) and with the vacuum advance
connected by a rubber hose and with an uncalibrated advance/retard knob?

I presume you will have the original type but ……

Nick.

What is the truth of the matter - can I use the later cap on my 1595 cc
motor?
Or where can I get the correct part.?

Cheers
Diana
