Hi Guys

I am looking for a distributor cap and Rotor button to suit my (1951) =
1595 cc motor.

Distributor Cap

When I look at the '48 - '53 parts manual the green bible tells me a '48 =
- '53 LR needs Rover part 261240
When I look at a Lucas popular parts catalogue it tells me a '48 - '50 =
LR needs LUCAS part number 415707
AND                                                                     =
it tells me a '52 - '53 LR         "          "        "        "        =
      415298
Mine is a 1951

When I try to buy one all I find is Lucas part 418871 the cap for the =
'54 - '58 2 litre engine


Rotor Button

When I look at the '48 - '53 parts manual the green bible tells me a '48 =
- '53 LR needs Rover part 261242
When I look at a Lucas popular parts catalogue it tells me a '48 - '53 =
LR needs LUCAS part number 408355

When I try to buy one all I find is Lucas part 400051 the button for the =
'54 - '58 2 litre engine


What is the truth of the matter - can I use the later cap on my 1595 cc =
motor?
Or where can I get the correct part.?
