Hmmm, My Exmoor trim hood had to have most of the straps and eyelets
replaced by them before it was 6 months old (Straps barely long enough and
ends coming off, eyelets pulling out), and I've just had to start replacing
eyelets again now as two have pulled out once more. A couple of the brass
strap ends are going to be off again too by the look of it. I've no other
hood to compare it to so I don't know quite what life and rate of decay to
expect, but it's under 5 years old and I would have hoped for better on a
reasonably carefully treated everyday vehicle. Fit and stitching are great
and it's still totally waterproof, but not impressed by the fittings.
I hope it was just a one off and that others are better.
