Thanks for that! I have had problems changing gear lately, and did have to 
wind the clutch adjustment up last week to get a 'clean' change. There is a 
faint tinkly rattle too. Of course I assume it'll be a Ford Transit clutch 
in there, so from a similar era to your Disco (engine's supposed to be 
1995/6) so guess it could be the same sort of make / construction.
Feel happier now it may not be a gearbox problem anyway. Will pull it apart 
and let you know.
