110km/hr?? That was the 2 of us, in summer, dressed in shorts and flip
flops, the Land Rover roofless and empty, tailwind and on tarmac.
Compare that to Your machine with a hardtop, full expedition kit on dirt
tracks in Labrador. With the OD engaged and probably on 7.50's and the
engine somewhat less than pristine??
these are scenarios at opposite ends of the spectrum.
I also hear Australia is mostly flat?? Maty have something to do with the
good gas mileage.

Hi Diana,
I'm probably not driving it hard enough :-) I know that Tom T has his '52
set to rev much higher than I'm comfortable, and he manages 110 km/hr plus
on his 7.50x16's. Bear in mind, also, that I'm lugging around a steel
body and my feeling is largely based on having several hundred extra
pounds of gear aboard during TransLab. Your mileage may differ ...
Planning underway for '07.
