Hi Paul,

You are in a position to confirm what I suspected the moment I installed
the Rocky Mountain overdrive on my Minerva -- the gearbox shroud on
the 80" (not just Minerva's) is much narrower on the lever side than on
the II/IIA's the overdrive was designed for. On my Minerva I've cut away
the offending metal and, when I get a chance, I'll design and fabricate a
cover for the hole. Until then, there's a big jagged-edged hole ...

The other problem that we SI-owners weren't told about is that we don't
really have enough power on tap to increase the road speed much with the
overdrive. It does reduce the noise, however. I did use mine quite a bit
on the paved bits last summer.

Good luck!
