Thanks to Diana for providing the info, I contacted them today (not Marci, I
went to the sales manager). It turns out they bought the rights to the book
from the UK publisher. Their upper management is overseas at a big book
publishers meeting right now, so we will have to be patient as the folks
left behind are not the ones who can make a decision of this kind. I'll let
everyone know what transpires, but it may take at least two weeks.

It would really help to know how many people are interested and at what
price. I asked and they said that potential sales of 1500 - 2000 copies
would definitely get them interested in a reissue. They could not provide me
with information about how many of these books were published originally in
1996. The original price for the book was US $34.95, but a price increase
would probably really get them interested. (I do know that a used copy here
in the US sold last month for $88 through a used book seller). I did tell
them that with exchange rates and shipping charges some Land Rover
enthusiasts would be unfairly penalized if they charged too much. I gave
them my name and email address and expect they will get back with me. So all
hope is not lost.

Please help me to find out how many people are interested. I will also pass
this request along to other Land Rover email lists. Market strength is in
numbers and by the numbers :)

Regards,

Karen Sindir
