The owners of the copyright have been asked about re-publishing several
times in recent years, but they have always declined for some reason. The
two thoughts that I have always had are that it would benefit from a new
expanded edition to incorporate the increased information, knowledge and
photographs now available. Bearing that in mind, perhaps, rather than waste
time and money negotiating to re-publish, the time has come for a
completely new book (including some advice for would be restorers?).

Hi folks,
I e-mailed the Editor of Legend yesterday with a request that readers of
Legend contact me if they are interested in purchasing a reprint of the
book if it became available.  Do other forum members think it would be a
viable option to try and purchase the publishing rights to the book with
(or without) the support of another group?
