Hello folks,
I contacted James Taylor as I have been in touch with him a few times
recently about the Tickford land rovers. This is what he had to say:-

""Original Series I has never been reprinted because the publishers were
bought by an American company which is more interested in producing books on
things like Mustangs and Corvettes. They don't see enough sales in a reprint
to get the profit margin they want; therefore there is no reprint. The same
company can't see the point in a Volume 2 of Original Range Rover, even
though it would include the versions unique to the US!""

I hope this is of interest to you guys. I would be interested in a copy of
the book though I always have access to one it would be nice to have my own.

NOTICE he says the "Publishers" were bought by an American Company not
necassarily the publication rights.

PS Might it not be worth finding out from the LR Register what the
circumstances were in reprinting The Early Years, since they recently did it
you might get an idea of costs etc.

That sounds very promising!  Count me as someone who definitely wants a
copy: I'll do a bit of canvassing amongst my contacts to get a few more
numbers and pass them on.
