Hello Hennie,

to add to Allan's account of axles & diffs, there was a brief run from 1956
to 58 when the S1 rear axle was available with fully floating half shafts -
this was standard equipment on the 107 Station Wagon and an option on the
88" models and the 109 S1 pick up. These are therefore narrow track
halfshafts (shorter than the S2 fully floating halfshafts) and very
difficult to source.

I read somewhere that the Lightweight 2A/3 models had narrow track axles and
their halfshafts were a direct replacement for the fully floating S1 axle.
Can anyone confirm this?

Chrz

Jeremy
