   G'Day Diana,
I did see the add after Ian Patrick told me about it. I rang the
auctioneer on Thursday, he happened to be at the property at the time
and after I told him where to find the vehicle number, he was able to
quote it. Turned out to be 0611****. It has a grey Holden motor
installed. May be good for parts etc., I am not going over to Dalton. It
is only about 1 1/2 hour drive for me if I were to go (around 130 Km.).
The operational chaff cutter would make a nice PTO accessory though.
On Friday as luck would have it, I was doing a nav., Camden -
Mittagong - Goulburn - Yass - Crookwell - Camden. The weather was a bit
how ya goin until just past Mittagong on the way out and from Buragorang
valley on the way back in. The leg from Yass to Crookwell was conducted
at low level and the track took us about 2 miles north of Dalton (the
earth tremor capital of Australia). Low and behold, we passed right over
the property where the clearing sale was being laid out. Could not quite
make out the Land Rover. Did not do any orbits as I don't think the
instructor shares my enthusiasm for old Land Rovers and machinery.
Did a touch and go landing at the Crookwell ALA, looked like my back
lawn in that it had not been mowed for about the same length of time. I
guess we fixed that though (or at least a narrow strip of it).
    Cheers
    Allan
