  Hi Allan

  Did you go the sale?=20

  The Land Rover had the lights through the grill with a mesh grill =
panel which is very straight. Without checking the part numbers (I wish =
the engine reconditioner would hurry up with my engine so I can have my =
books back) I a can't be sure what it should have. However they =
couldn't do a Holden conversion and retain the 5" Butler Lamps so they =
would have had to change to the 7" style.

  But you have raised an issue in that to restore my historic 1950 I =
need the 5" lamps and sprung shovel seats.

  Regards
  Diana=20

      G'Day Diana,
      Sorry we didn't cross paths at the sale. Early 1950 models had=20
  lights behind the grill (5" Butler lights), later 1950 and 1951 models
  (from 0611806) had "through the grill" 7" lights and the "inverted T=20
  mesh" style grille was introduced at 26100001, ie.with the =
introduction=20
  of the 1952 model.
      From memory, the one at the sale fitted into the Lights behind the =

  grille category.
      Cheers
      Allan
