There was a bloke looking for 48 parts so we discussed the vehicle and his
project - I actually have some photos of his vehicle before it came to his
hands - anyway back to the story.  He told me that he had been to a number
of other clearing sales with 80" in the catalogue and when they weren't the
model he wanted he didn't buy.  It seems that at least 2 of them were passed
in and went to the tip and a third went for $5.00.  I was horrified and said
so, he thought about it and agreed with me that putting on any bid then
giving the parts away was better than sending them to a hole in the ground.

The good thing is that I have recently come across some people from the
Victorian LR Register who seem to swap parts and send parts for postage cost
to other enthusiasts.  So my left overs will be going through them.

What we need on the list is a big paddock where we can park all the parts
donor Series 1's we can find and then other list members can come and pick
the needed bits.   Members could even have holidays from O/S and spend a day
picking and packing bits they want.

What do you recon?  Good idea or what?
