    G'Day Diana,
    Sorry we didn't cross paths at the sale. Early 1950 models had 
lights behind the grill (5" Butler lights), later 1950 and 1951 models
(from 0611806) had "through the grill" 7" lights and the "inverted T 
mesh" style grille was introduced at 26100001, ie.with the introduction 
of the 1952 model.
    From memory, the one at the sale fitted into the Lights behind the 
grille category.
