Thing to remember about the 6cyl is that it's basically a stretched 
(late)  2lt 4 cyl. So unlike the later 2.25 (overhead valves) it's a F 
head (Inlet Over Exhaust), just like the 2ltr and 1.6. This is why many 
bits that fit later 2ltr engines are also to be found on 6cyl engines ( 
rockers, push roads, oil filters for example are same as spread bore 
2ltr).  :-)
