Ed,

I don't recall the previous discussions on this topic but have a feeling
that since you are swapping a 2L petrol for a 2.25 petrol,  you might
get away without needing to change the bellhousing though I stand to be
corrected on that point.  The picture of the 86"/88" bellhousing on page
78 of the parts catalogue looks very like a S2 bellhousing I picked up
as a spare - the only difference might be in the shape/location of the
shoulder that the starter bendix pushes into but again I stand to be
corrected on that point.  No doubt someone else on the list will be
better able to advise you from their own experience.
