Dear Webster's, Macquarie's and Oxford's

On the subject of indicator wiring - on my previous 80" a 1950 it had a
little flexible corrugated steel tube just in front of the driver for the
wiring to the wiper motor (and trafficators). In the 1951 '52 Model
Operations Manual it has both a drawing of the windscreen/drivers position
and a wiring diagramme.

The picture shows a wire exiting the bulkhead, near the steering column
support bracket, running up to the wiper motor with a ground wire coming off
the wiper motor screwed into the screen. It also shows a wire exiting under
the left of the wiper motor going straight to the trafficator switch held
mid way between the motor and switch by a screwed in wiring harness clamp.

In the wiring diagramme it shows only the wiper motor wiring. The wire from
the bulkhead to the screen shows a socket and plug symbols (same as the
positive inspection lamp socket).

Would this be correct, the correct wire arrangement is a red socket and
plug?

What do others do to return the RHS and LHS indicator wiring to the
bulkhead?

Thanking you all in anticipation.

Diana

Diana,

Just to go back to your original question. The bulb can be wired between the
left and right side indicator lights. Then when one side is sel....
