1951 80" - Stainless steel sleeve/liner in the casing and a stainless steel
sleeve/collar on the piston - original rubbers, original linkages, original
pipes and fittings, original looking, no new holes in the chassis.

Hi All,

I have been away at a small steam rally this weekend - the 1000 Engine
Rally at Astle Park in the UK. There was a better than normal turnout of
Series Ones there, and we got talking about Master Cylinders. Due to the
costs of the original item, quite a few people had modified versions
fitted to their vehicles. My own Series One has what I think is an alloy
master cylinder off a series 2, but some vehicles had the cast iron
cylinder from  a series two, which looks very similar to the original
Series One Master Cylinder, exept that it only has two mounting holes.

I was just wondering what other folks have done - or are you all
'original'
