A possible aquisition of a replacement motor is probably the cheapest way to
go.
Although the actual casting of the wheel will only cost about 5 to 10 bucks,
the silicone mould may run as high as $30 to $50
The quality of the cast is usually superb and needs no further work done.
However, the new part may be about 2% smaler than the original due to
shrinkage.

Hi Tom,

I thought about stock (Boston) gears but the pinion is part of the motor
armature shaft, both are helical, and I'm sure they're both cut on the
module system rather than the English/North American pitch system.  I also
thought about cutting one, but a replacement motor would be cheaper.
Your idea of investment casting a gear or two is interesting, however.  I
hadn't thought about that.
